Hi there!

15 - 16 December 2014 will always be remembered in Australia for the shocking events at the Lindt Cafe at Martin Pace in Sydney and the tragic death of Katrina Dawson who so innocently was very much in the wrong place at the wrong time.  

15 December 2014 was also vary sadly when our friend Andrew Dreverman, 31 years young lost his battle with a rare Sarcoma - a double day of sadness and a very stark reminder of how fragile life can be.......from one day to the next there are no guarantees!!

I am doing this walk selfishly to experience the beauty and solitude of the famous Larapinta Traill but I am doing it with a small group of friends (one of whom is Andrew's mother, Judy) in what could almost be described as 'spiritual'.  We are all banding together to raise funds for the Katrina Dawson Foundation - with her spirit to guide us we will be raising funds to help mentor and inspire young women to enable the establishment of Scholarships at Women's College, Sydney University which will remove barriers and create opportunities for exceptional young women to reach their dreams.  With only 2 weeks until the walk (8 - 12 May) our group of 16 has raised nearly $50,000!!!
